Legal Expertise When you Need It Most

Green Cards | Citizenship | Visas | Deportation

Immigration is a complex area of law that requires attention to detail, familiarity with the procedures of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and a thorough understanding of the rules that apply to each particular situation.

At the Mevorah Law Offices, we represent clients before the USCIS and the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (BICE) and provide guidance in matters relating to immigration and naturalization, visas, citizenship, asylum, employment, and removal (also known as deportation). We can assist in the interpretation of and compliance with all immigration laws as well as inform you of your rights and immigration opportunities afforded by future legislation.

Permanent Residency and Temporary Visas

There are many different types of visas available to foreign nationals, some of them limited in the amount of time the individual is allowed to stay in the country and others allowing the individual to live in the United States permanently. If you are being transferred from a branch of your company in another country to a branch in the United States and you meet certain other requirements, you may be eligible for an L visa, or intra-company transfer visa.

Employment-Based Visas and Family-Based Visas

E visas (investor visas and treaty trader visas) are offered to individuals who are investing in the United States or are management-level employees of a company in a country that has a trading treaty with the United States. Many foreign nationals earn the right to permanent residency through EB visas, or permanent resident work visas. You must fit into one of five categories to be eligible for an EB visa, and usually you must obtain a labor certification. B visas, or business visitor visas, are available to individuals who need to enter the United States temporarily for business purposes but are not planning on giving up their residence abroad. There are also student visas and family visas.
